This is one of fifteen paintings in my Chakra Rainbow Oil Painting Series. Each painting depicts a state of balance or imbalance in the human energy field.
The Hallucinator represents an imbalanced brow chakra. A woman who is experiencing a nightmare. Her fears are on surveillance and she is energetically entrapped by her own dragon. I did not paint this to glorify its darker concepts, but to help us recognize the necessity for trusting our instincts and listening to our negative gut feelings as a means of self-sight and protection.
The guiding principals behind both the imbalance of the sixth chakra and The Hallucinator are the scary visions of nightmare and the doubts and fears of the intuition. This painting represents fear demons that creep into our subconscious through dreams and the feeling of our fears being on survelance by malevolent forces. A figure during nightmare is attacked and on survelance by fear dragon.
