This is yesterday's work on a piece about the gifts of spring and new growth being interpreted metaphysically through a woman’s body. In this second stage I created more distance and cloud form in the sky, atmospheric perspective at the horizon line and more shadow and light on the water. I also started estimating the terrain at the bottom of the island and the color shifts going up. I carved in some basic value patterns in the figure and am working the transitions from rock to body to plant to ascending vine.
