The Seer represents a balanced brow chakra. A woman excited about a vision unseen to the viewer. She stands tall, the intuitive, all seeing woman, given not only the gift of sight but of seeing beyond our world.
The guiding principals behind both the balance of the Ajna, or Brow Chakra are the element of light and act of projection. The sixth chakra is located in our brow or third eye, it's color is indigo, it's energy is intuitive and it's goal is to see. Shelley's paintings dance with unabashed honesty of the medicines and challenges of the human life cycle. Existential and contemplative, her work explores the net between psychology and spirituality. She discovers what each painting wants to say, translates it and offers her paintings as meditations on existence. She uses shamanic journeying and energetic healing to pull the physical feelings inside of her out and onto the canvas.
